The SC Department of the PPCC seeks to empower Schedule Caste members within the State and campaigns for greater representation of Schedule Caste communities in public life. Through encouraging increased participation in the political process the SC Department empowers its members to campaign for a fairer, more equal and democratic society.

We are a part of the Indian National Congress and work closely with the All India Congress Committee because of our shared values of equality, tolerance and opportunity for all. We welcome everything that Congress in Government has done to improve the quality of life for India's Dalit communities but we continue to campaign for further equality, both within the Congress Party and across society. We are an accountable, inclusive organisation that provides a bridge to the Congress Party in ways that ensure that the voice of the Scheduled Castes communities matter – and are heard.

We have certain pro-dalit points as agenda for future which we would like to attain

  1. To bring back confidence of youth dalits in Congress: - As youth represents a major percentage of dalit population, certain issues related to youth such as:-
    1. Reservation in services in private sector.
    2. Clearing backlog in services/vacancies.
    3. Issue of pending/denied scholarships to SC students.
  2. Standard of education in Govt. institutions be raised.
  3. To encourage the representation of Dalits in Judicial services.
  4. Social security schemes should be started for poor SC's.
  5. The interest rate of education loan be at par with agricultural loan.
  6. The surplus land with panchyat's and other Govt. agencies be allotted/given on lease to deserving SC's.
  7. Religious conversions should be discouraged.
  8. SC Dera's be given regular importance and visits by front line leadership and repo among them be established by doing certain welfare projects.
  9. Celebrations of important days such as Ambedkar Jayanti, Babu Jagjeevan Ram's Jayanti, Ravidas Jayanti etc. be done on grand scale.
